Product Safety and California Prop 65
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Safety matters to us, and to the people who use the products we sell. This page covers product information, California Proposition 65 warnings, and where to find recall information.
Product information and accuracy
We aim to keep our product pages accurate and complete. Specifications, ratings, dimensions, and safety information come from manufacturers and may change. Always read the manufacturer's labels, instructions, and safety data before using a product. If something on a product page looks wrong, please tell us at support@badgerbeaver.com.
Using products safely
Many industrial and MRO products can cause harm if used the wrong way. Please:
- choose products suited to your application and its ratings;
- follow manufacturer instructions, warnings, and applicable workplace safety rules;
- use appropriate personal protective equipment;
- ask a qualified professional if you are unsure.
California Proposition 65
California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, known as Proposition 65, requires businesses to warn Californians about certain exposures to chemicals that the State of California lists as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
Where a product we sell requires a Prop 65 warning, we show it on the product page and/or during checkout. A typical warning looks like this:
> WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including [chemical name(s)], which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
The presence of a warning does not mean a product is unsafe or that it breaks any safety standard. It means the product may involve a listed chemical in an amount that triggers a warning. Many everyday items, such as metals, coatings, plastics, lubricants, and cleaners, may carry these warnings. A lack of a warning does not mean a product contains no listed chemicals.
For details, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
Safety data sheets
For chemical products, manufacturers may provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Where we have one, it is linked on the product page. If you cannot find one, contact us.
Recalls
If you have a safety concern about something you bought, or you learn of a recall, stop using the product and contact us right away. See our Recalls and Safety Notices page.
