Freight and LTL Shipping
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Some products are too large or heavy for standard parcel delivery. They ship by freight, often as LTL (less-than-truckload). This page explains how that works with us.
How it works
- Order as usual. Freight items do not add a shipping charge at checkout.
- We send a freight quote. After you order, we email you a quote for shipping the freight item to your address.
- You decide. You are charged for the freight item only after you accept the quote.
- We ship. After you accept, we arrange delivery and send tracking when available.
Your payment authorization (hold) is explained in Payments and Holds.
Free shipping and freight
Free shipping on orders of $99 or more applies to non-freight items. Freight items are handled by quote.
Preparing for delivery
Freight delivery is different from a parcel at the door. Plan for:
- Access: is there a loading dock, or will the truck need to unload at curbside? Tell us about any limits at your location.
- Equipment: you may need a forklift, pallet jack, or helpers to move the shipment.
- Someone to receive it: the carrier may call ahead to arrange a delivery time.
- Inspection: look over the shipment and note any damage on the carrier's paperwork before signing.
