Who we are

How the store works

Badger & Beaver is a marketplace facilitator: it carries no stock or inventory of its own. It deals directly with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers to sell their products, arranging fulfillment through those suppliers. When you order, you pay Badger & Beaver, and Badger & Beaver arranges for the supplier to fulfil and ship your order.

What we collect

• Account information — name, email address, phone, company, and addresses you enter when you create an account or check out.
• Order information — items ordered, order numbers, shipping and billing addresses, and any purchase-order number you add for your own records.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us; we never see or store your full card number. We do keep the order total, the payment status, and the last steps of the payment record needed to support your order.
• Tax-exemption certificates — business legal name, state, and the certificate file you upload, so we can review and approve tax-exempt purchasing for your account.
• Messages you send us — contact, quote, order-tracking, and price-match submissions, including any competitor links you send for a price-match claim, and any review text you submit.
• Site data — your cart is stored in your browser, and sign-in uses an emailed code plus a session cookie so you stay signed in on your device.

How we use it

To fulfil your orders and quotes, arrange freight quotes, review tax exemptions, verify price-match claims, send order confirmations, shipping updates, quote replies, and support replies, and to send the welcome offer when you create an account. We do not send other marketing email.

Who we share it with

Stripe (to take your payment), and the supplier fulfilling your order — because Badger & Beaver carries no stock of its own, your order and shipping details (items, your name, and your delivery address) are shared with that supplier so it can deliver your order, and with the carrier moving it. Nothing beyond what delivery requires. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We disclose it only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order and account records are kept while your account is active and as long as tax and accounting records require. Tax certificates are kept while the exemption is active and as needed for tax records. Messages are kept for support follow-up. When you ask us to delete your account data, we remove what we can and keep only what order, tax, or legal records require.

Security

Account access uses an emailed sign-in code, never a password stored on our side. Tax certificates are stored in our order system with access limited to the team that reviews exemptions. No system is perfect — if you believe your account was accessed without permission, contact us right away.

Your choices

Update your account information from your account page, or email us to correct or delete it (subject to the record-keeping above). You can check out as a guest without creating an account.

Children

This store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Contact us and we will remove any such information we find.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here. The version in force is the one posted on this page.
