Raychem HVBT is a heat-shrinkable high-voltage busbar insulation tape for insulating straight and bent busbars in retrofit applications where tubing cannot be used, and for protection against incidental bridging by birds and animals. The adhesive layer fuses the tape layers together without sticking to the busbar or hardware. This is the 2 in wide red polyolefin tape on a 25 ft roll (catalog HVBT-2-R-01(B4), standard package 4 rolls); applied with a two-thirds overlap, two layers over bolted connections. Continuous operating temperature 90 C; dielectric strength 130 kV/cm.
