M.K. Morse advanced bi-metal hole saw, 3 in diameter, carded (Morse item 178488). Premium M42 high-speed steel cutting edge with 8% cobalt, heavy-duty 0.050 in sidewall, solid cap to reduce runout and vibration, side slot for easier slug removal, red exterior coating to reduce sidewall friction; 1-15/16 in cutting depth; 5/8-18 arbor thread (arbor sold separately). This MHS-series saw is Morse's current-production successor to the obsolete AV-series AVC48 named in the bid — Morse consolidated its five bi-metal lines into this one and rates it at over 2x the life of the AV model.
