The Mid-West Instrument Model 845-3 is a three-valve backflow prevention assembly test kit for testing all brands of reduced pressure principle, pressure vacuum breaker and double check valve assemblies, performing all test procedures recommended by ASSE, AWWA, CSA, FCCC and HR-USC and NEWWA. It has a diaphragm differential pressure gauge with a 4-1/2 in dial (0-15 PSID / 0-100 kPa, accuracy +/-0.2 PSID descending), a 1-1/2 in 0-200 PSIG line pressure gauge, soft-seated brass needle valves with replaceable seats, and 90-micron filters throughout. The kit includes three 5 ft color-coded hoses with Schrader 1/4 in brass couplers, a 4 ft clear bleed tube, three sets of brass adapter fittings, laminated test procedures in the lid, a NIST-traceable certificate of calibration, and a durable molded plastic carrying case.
